When not performing on opera stages or in concert halls, Chelsea helps singers of all ages prepare for auditions, performances, solos, and other special events. Repertoire in her studio covers a variety of styles, from classical and musical theater to jazz and pop. Currently, due to the COVID pandemic, all lessons are taught online.

Individualized Instruction

Students learn in a relaxed and nurturing environment as Chelsea guides them toward a healthy vocal technique, confidence, and strong musical skills. Prospective students need not have prior training – Chelsea is experienced in teaching students of all levels and abilities. Her individualized approach ensures that each student develops a strong foundation in vocal technique and, with a consistent home practice routine, shows rapid progress from week to week. Along the way, Chelsea helps her students develop confidence and stage presence, encouraging them to be expressive singers and performers.

Build Your Technique

Singers will learn to sing without tension, use their breath properly, smooth out the shift between registers, develop a more powerful sound, sing high notes with ease, perform with confidence, and more. A firm believer that performing is part of the learning process, Chelsea encourages her students to pursue outside competitions and performance opportunities.

With a bachelor’s degree in vocal performance plus a concentration in music education from New England Conservatory of Music, a master’s degree in vocal performance from Boston University, and an artist’s certificate from the Boston University Opera Institute, Chelsea has extensive training in vocal technique and has taught clients of all ages for more than fifteen years.

Dramatic Coaching

Having performed countless roles on the opera stage, Chelsea has always had a passion for stage craft and is a sought-after dramatic coach, helping clients polish their presentation and leave a lasting impression on every audition panel they encounter.

Role Preparation

For several years, Chelsea’s busy singing schedule and special emphasis on modern repertoire has had her learning five to six roles at any given time. Maintaining this schedule has required that she develop a method to learn repertoire quickly and efficiently. Chelsea helps her clients incorporate a systematic approach to learning operatic repertoire. She wants her clients to arrive on the first day of rehearsal feeling perfectly prepared and confident, ready to perform at their highest level.
